This is so much bullshit. Just because there are problems right now doesn't mean they couldn't possibly be fixed. In fact they can be for the good reason that Open Source is very cheap. Think about the price/benefits ratio of Wikipedia. What has ever been so close? We know it's cheap, we know it's valuable, we know it's an important good.

The real reason is: why are we not investing more money in it?
