Why do you have the wife and kids sleep on a bed on the floor? Do they prefer this arrangement?

Does Napa count? I have a rural cabin and sleep on an Ikea nerf on the floor on weekends. My Murphy bed skillz aren’t up to snuff.

I sleep on a futon because the floor's firmness is great for muscles (like using a foam roller).
