He is presenting it as hilarious and funny. That's the context he is sticking to. I think dealing with all of this is taking time out of his life. Not funny after all. Still, someone has to do it. He is playing it 'fun way', what other way could he play it? Direct ridicule? Shouting F words? It's like pretending you are having fun dancing with a grizzly bear.
