Interesting paradox I've never considered
There is a very good wargame by Multi-Man Publishing about the Yom Kippur war, ‘Yom Kippur: The Battle for the Sinai, October, 1973’ (1995). It’s part of their ‘Standard Combat Series’ which is a series of wargames sharing a similar core game system. The system is approachable to beginners but still offers historical detail. Another game in the series is ‘Bastogne: Screaming Eagles Under Siege 18-27 Dec' 44’ (2009).
