Neat! I had only seen tikv's plugin [0] implementing this before. But they've got their own first-party option [1] now too.
The gist being, as I understand it, that WiscKey [2] showed how you can improve both read and write performance if you store values outside of the main LSM tree. (Only store keys in the LSM tree with a pointer to the value.) See also [3].
Comparison between Titan and BlobDB [4] aren't awesome yet though. :)

You must be fun at parties, since you take information theory jokes so personally.
I'd tell you a UDP joke, but you probably wouldn't get it.
So here's a TCP joke:
Hello, would you like to hear a TCP joke?
Yes, I'd like to hear a TCP joke.
OK, I'll tell you a TCP joke.
OK, I'll hear a TCP joke.
Are you ready to hear a TCP joke?
Yes, I am ready to hear a TCP joke.
OK, I'm about to send the TCP joke. It will last 10 seconds, it has two characters, it does not have a setting, it ends with a punchline.

I'm sorry, your connection has timed out... ...Hello, would you like to hear a TCP joke?
