Remote working may be a win-win for employers, employees and – even the economy

It’s just too wasteful of an institution to perpetuate itself forever.
That was the whole point of the government reaction to it.
My supervisor now insists on taking meetings via zoom (on his own) if anyone is not in the office even though half of the team is there and conference video tech is available, which I find super uncourteous and super draining.
He says he doesn’t see a difference between meetings in person and online, beyond „socializing“ or „hanging out with you“.
I’m not expecting super rigorous cutting edge economics from NPR but I do actually expect a well informed conventional take on economics. Who should people listen to? NPRs level of competence in economics already far outstrips mine.
BTW is it your contention that NPR is a vigorous defender of free markets?
NPR I know for two reasons, they're one of the American news organisations pushing for the Iraq war the absolute least, and their economic stuff. I keep hearing how NPR is filled with deranged bash the fash marxists but I actually have never actually seen these people. Maybe their columns aren't as popular as the more mainstream columns at NPR.
My contact information is in my profile and if you ever visited the Seattle area I would be only too happy to buy you lunch and discuss these matters in a friendly environment.
Are you sure your beliefs about NPR / free markets are falsifiable? What would convince you to change your mind on NPR?
