Ask HN: How do you find new dev tools?

I'm always looking for great new dev tools that will enhance my product and save me time and effort.

Curious, how do you find new dev tools? Where does one look to explore dev tools?

Talking to coworkers has been my primary source since it's easy to sit down and observe their workflows and ask them questions about how they handle different interactions

Otherwise, talking to other developers at user group events or online has helped quite a bit, especially if there is a project involved where specific interactions can be discussed around it

very interesting. I usually just google things when i need them.

What do you mean when you say "user group events"? is this like in-person meetups or is it something else?

Yeah, in-person meetups. Depending on where you are, there may be user groups for programming languages or industries. Many of these tend to organize through Meetup.com

Awesome. Thanks for sharing. I'll explore these.

My pleasure. Good luck!

Hackernews Show HN or Producthunt?

Yeah, same for me. but there's gotta be a better way I think.
