Podcast episodes are not a great medium for sharing stuff on HN. The description doesn't mention "paranoid" at all and I would have to listen to an entire podcast before I can comment. No thanks.
- YC sees itself as software company;
- Small percentage of YC companies reach true product market fit;
- Standard deal increased in response to irrational market conditions and to help YC companies manage economic downturn;
- Finding founders from under represented groups remains challenge;
- Micheal loves working with YC founders.

My take is: YC needs to start a software engineering boot camps that target software development skills startups need. Should give percentage of YC equity to anyone referring under represented founders. Remain focused on finding product market fit for itself so it’s able to scale to 1000-3000 founders a year.
