I say "news" in quotes, because if you wanted to know what had happened on some day, then you were SOL; there might be a 5-minute segment of actual news somewhere in there, if you were prepared to watch all the rest of the grovelling.
It's high time the media here showed respect for the 20% of UK citizens that are republicans. Do we get 20% of royal coverage expressing a republican sentiment? Do we hell.
Did you know that 20% of the UK are in favour of abolishing the monarchy? Of course not, because the fawning media never mention it.
Royalists are vocal supports, most republicans are "meh, bloody royals, what's the point of 'em?"
If on the other hand they want the networks to torch the 10's of thousands of (or more likely 100k+) hours of footage then that is indeed curious, curious to the point where someone needs to sit down and watch it all to find out why!
