It was a wide-ranging speech but what struck me most was the point about spraying glyphosate at the headwaters of the Amazon.

He's not wrong.

$4000 per lb in Coumbia; by the time, it reaches America, it is sold at $20k per lb. What happens when criminal gangs and cartels go for synthetic drugs? Meth and Fentanyl are already happening.

People won't want the newer synthetics if they can easily get the classics. Legalization would destroy the cartels

>>instead, coal and oil must be protected

Does anybody actually advocate for that? It's clear the future is green, it is just a matter of when and how.

I think the dude just wants to make $$$ selling cocaine?

Legalizing cocaine might instead crash the price by removing the artificial scarcity, and the arbitrage opportunity for criminals to exploit. I agree with him that suppressing supply hasn’t worked, let’s try reducing demand. I don’t know his motives, but I support his stated motives.

A few days agos, french Guyana (a french oversea region, who have to follow the same Law as continental france) announced stopping prosecution against airport traveller caught with up to 1kg of cocaïne. The passengers caught will juste be banned of airport (the almost only way for entering or leaving french Guyana) for 6 months. Very surprising for a lot of people. I still wait for a reaction from Paris or mainland medias.

You shall check the news.

This is just what the world needs! Cheap cocaine!
