Synthetic Philosophy of Contemporary Mathematics by Fernando Zalamea

for something very lively, contemporary and more continental in spirit

Zalamea also has a serious guide to Grothendiek work (in Spanish for the moment) at http://matematicas.unex.es/~navarro/res/zalamea.pdf, that he introduces lucidly in live lectures here "https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=cienciastv+mini..."

Disagree, but opinions differ on Zalamea.
