if you use [add-on compatibility reporter](https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/add-on-compat...) then you can tell firefox to use 'incompatible' extensions anyway. most of the time they work just fine.
Of course, there's the potential incompatibility of the incompatibility reporter, but I digress.
