Japan Won Its ‘Traffic War’

so basically:

- good reliable and safe transit system

- deterrent to car ownership with no street parking

- general culture of valuing the collective good

I think with the US it would be interesting to compare specific US cities instead of the entire thing given cultural / geographical differences between cities here.
