What a great line.

Imho, social media's contribution to society is making it possible for anyone to extend the number of people they reach. Like it or not, this is/was the promise of the internet - make it easier to connect with people across the world. All social media companies (Twitter, FB, IG, TikTok) simply build a common platform and define the parameters of the media. The usage of it is manifestation of who we are as a species.

A brilliant longread with unexpected conclusion.

I just read the article after reading this comment. You weren't kidding! That was a really great read and one of the most original things I've come across recently.
