Has anyone tried the Open Source alternative OpenBB Terminal (formerly known as GameStonk Terminal)?

https://github.com/OpenBB-finance/OpenBBTerminal

Yeah I have, it's very impressive

i feel like the ui and ux part can be improved, its very ghard to navigate

For news, there's a poor man's Bloomberg Terminal: https://biztoc.com

Is the pricing info merely hard to find or omitted by design?

Looks like the site is still under construction?

Shows generic placeholder content.

i have updated the site, so now there is a direct link on landing page to pricing, thankyou so much for pointing it out

you can find the pricing info here https://gorillaterminal.com/pricing

The Bloomberg terminal is already available to individuals, it’s quite popular even.

there maybe an option, its really not accessable with its high price of around $25,000 a year ,compared to gorilalterminal.com around $17 a month tho its not as powerful as bloomberg terminal it really gets you covered in all ways, most individual investors invest in equities, this is specifically made with equity research in mind

I guess it’s similar to comparing a $100,000 sports car to a $100 bicycle. The bicycle is a lot better than walking, but surprisingly a 1000x price difference is considered reasonable even when both products carry out the same superficial function. Here the price difference is only 100x.

Certainly Bloomberg is a much better value proposition (functionality divided by cost), but of course there is a market for cheaper and less capable options.

I signed up just now and it immediately told me, "your free trial is over".

the trial works on a credit basis so the trailends after you reach a certain number of stocks you looked up, but no worries please reach me at krish@gorillaterminal.com i would love to extened your trail at no extra cost, so you can try it out for longer before you decide ^^

Thanks, but the only thing I did was sign up. I didn’t look up any stocks. I may have looked at the demo page for a second or two but didn’t do anything with it.

oh im so sorry, i think its a bug if you make a account straight up without trying out by clicking "try without signup" this happens, fix as of now would be just to logout by clicking on the account icon on the side

im so sorry, i apologize for this, i'm working on it, and will be fixed as soon as possible, thankyou so much letting me know

This already exists, it’s called Koyfin
