Republicans and Blacks most hesitant to get Covid vaccine, PSU analysis finds

What I find fascinating is that rates of COVID vaccination among young children and infants is extremely low.

2.8% for under-5, and at the time of writing vaccination rates had peaked and were declining, from an eyeball of the graph, 5% would be an optimistic asymptote. The CDC recommends that all children from 6 months to 5 years be vaccinated.

What this suggests is that there is in fact an overwhelming majority of people across all demographics of race and political persuasion, at least among the ages of about 20-40, who have some skepticism of government guidelines, who have some concern about vaccine risks, and who have some doubts about its benefits.

So really, they're all "science deniers", and they don't "trust the experts". Where they differ is only a matter of degree of denial, doubt, and mistrust. If you think the Pentagon was hit by a missile but the WTC buildings were a controlled demolition, or you think we went to the moon most of the time but faked one or two, that vaccines cause just a little bit of autism, or that climate change is happening it's just not man-made, you're still a conspiracy theorist right?

So it's interesting that the 5% have not brought out their pitchforks to attack the 95% who aren't unquestioningly subservient to the government and its experts. What that says is that they were never really attacking people for having doubts and questions, but something else. Just an excuse to attack the hated "others", perhaps? Anger at their level of unwillingness to be subservient to their favored regime maybe. Really makes you think.
