>Apple blatantly lies by saying they allow alternative browsers on their platform - they do not -

What? I'm having problems interpreting that; I'm typing this in Firefox on a MacbookPro; I installed Brave on an Ipad. What, precisely are you saying?

It's all the same browser. Apple won't let other developers implement their own rendering engine, which gives them unimpeachable control over what apps work natively and which are incompatible with their browser. It's holding the industry back, and Apple is doing it because doing anything else would threaten their margins.

They allow alternative browser engines on macOS but not on iOS. Brave on iPad is just a wrapper around WebKit. (Same with Firefox, Chrome, etc)
