Given the economic impact of children and pregnancy on peoples lives and careers, “car seat inconvenience” has to be deeply buried in the noise. I would think the career gaps, copays, child and college expenses are way, way more significant.
Some people have way too much time on their hands. People that can truly afford to have 3+ kids can likely buy a large enough vehicle to fit more seats (ever hear of a minivan). Better yet have kids with multiple women like Elon does.
