Ask HN: Is this a bug in HN’s search?

____

Notice a what appears to be a bug in HN’s search for comments that allows me to see the sum of votes a comment received:

To replicate the bug, click link below:

https://hn.algolia.com/?dateRange=all&page=0&prefix=false&qu...

...and the first comment should have “1081 points” and be this comment:

https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=6805807

____

Bug does not appear to be universal, nor am I able to figure out a pattern of why some of the comments appear to show the comment votes, but if for example you sort comments by date, they don’t appear to show vote points:

https://hn.algolia.com/?dateRange=all&page=0&prefix=false&qu...

The highest voted most recent comments also don’t appear to show votes via HN’s search; load link below, copy unique string of text, search for in using HN’s comment search:

https://news.ycombinator.com/bestcomments

Example comment for link above displayed using HN’s comment search:

https://hn.algolia.com/?dateRange=all&page=0&prefix=true&que...

Also checked by entering custom dates in to show comments after the post were locked and that produced no comments with votes showing.

____

Tried to few Google’s, but found nothing.

What am I missing?

____________

Edit-001: - appears search is broken for the sort by popular, only returning results that are years old, possibly 8+ years old; example, click back to page one of search results looking at the dates:

https://hn.algolia.com/?dateRange=all&page=99&prefix=true&qu...

____________

Edit-002:

Appears this is list of active/closed issues with HN’s search; looked for a known related issue, but was unable to find any:

Found it via this Google search:
