sounds like biden passed a bill that, as far as the billions for CCS go, was just for show, at best, and at worst, will help doom us.

i'm open to someone making a counterargument, but if Joe Manchin digs CCS, it's gotta be bad for the planet.

I'm not sure what the bigger picture is?

(1) That early versions of technology are always expensive and inefficient.

(2) That we will probably have to pull CO2 out if we want to preserve our current climate.

Imagine if we applied the same logic to electric cars. We would never build them.

If we put a fraction of the money from credits into carbon capture research, we'd end up with a variety of scalable techniques.
