Animation, particularly its history, approached from a global perspective is an interesting topic so Ani Obsessive's articles are great to read. A number of articles talk about various whole swathes of animation that aren't typically mentioned.
I find it interesting how, despite being artistic, even 2d animation remains surprisingly technical.
