Time – Elon Musk Is Convinced He's the Future. We Need to Look Beyond Him

time.com

Doctrinaire [1] journalists think they can dictate the future by distorting our view of the present arbitrarily, we need to look beyond them.

[1]: This fella's personal website bio literally says "a socialist writer, host of Tech Won't Save Us,. and critic of tech futures".

Isn't that the point of journalism?

Rodger Ebert's website literally says critic of movies, host of the show he hosted.

> Isn't that the point of journalism?

I don't think so.

> Rodger Ebert's website literally says critic of movies, host of the show he hosted.

The point is that this guy has put his ideology in his bio ("socialist"), and the rest is explicitly about shitting on tech.

Got it. So the analogy would be an independent film critic, who calls themselves such and only reviews independent films (often not liking them).
