Stashpad – A New Scratchpad for Developers

The linked "Introducing Stashpad" blog post doesn't show or tell what this is. Instead visit the Stashpad homepage [1] or watch their two-minute "Stashpad Quick Start Guide" video [2].

I learned that Stashpad is a hierarchical notepad with an attractive interface and an emphasis on keyboard shortcuts. The notes support Markdown. The application can be downloaded after submitting an email address. Stashpad runs on Mac, Windows, and Linux.

It's almost perfect for me. I'd like to have additional dimension (tags) to organize things, but it's so good in other areas (ease of capture and moving things around, keyboard centric, super fast, ...) that I'll use one way or another.

I started using Stashpad today. It's what I've been missing from my note taking workflow. It's everything I love about writing notes on paper (efficiency, availability, ephemerality) combined with everything I love about digital note taking (indexing/search-ability, sharing, connect-ability, locally-stored data).

Thank you for creating this! I'm excited to continue to be a user!
