Nice! You can set up the following aliases in ~/.zshrc (or ~/.bashrc):

  alias json="python -mjson.tool"
  alias xml="xmllint --format -"

then pipe into them like so:

  echo '{"one": 1}' | json
  echo "<one>1</one>" | xml
