I think, name isn't the best one - I initially read it as "Maple", especially in a context of scientific computing and visualization.

Even more confusing to see when you live in a town called Marple - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marple,_Greater_Manchester

That town and the surname is apparently derived/corrupted from the word for Maple tree

We've indeed had other people confusing us with Maple before! Luckily Maple is not so often used in an engineering data context.
