Seems like si-fi "Three Body Problem" in real world.
The physics in that book was horrible, and not a guide for understanding. Case in point: there is in fact a STABLE planet exactly in the habitable zone of Proxima Centauri, which was supposed to be so unstable due to the effects of three stars, which gave the book its name.
