YouTube hires Rene Ritchie as 'Creator Liaison'

I don't dislike Rene's videos or his public persona, but I wonder how serious change can come from somebody who (I believe) makes their living on YouTube and isn't a very rebellious/rock-the-boat sort of person.

YouTube doesn't need a couple of gentle reminders from a gentleman about what their creator community prefers from somebody who depends on them for a living.

They need somebody to go in there scorched Earth and embarrass the ever-living-shit out of them and call them out on many, many issues.

I'm not saying I have a better answer or real suggestion, but this is another in a long line of "meh".
