Ask HN: Should HN's title character limit be expanded from 100 to 150?

The limit is 80, not 100.

I run into the limit occasionally, but it's possible to take out some phrases from titles and still have them be accurate. If I do, I'll comment on my own submission making a note of it.

Titles are for a summary of a question. The question itself is supposed to be expanded and elaborated on in the text of the submission.

I'd say maybe ~120 or so, but yeah I'd like to see a minor extension of the limit. Would make things a bit easier and allow for less editorializing of more complex headlines. (Operative word: allow.)

Maybe 127 bytes, should do.

Struggle is good, it encourages creativity.
