They can't work well together because they speak different languages (like React vs Figma), thus the friction.

One thing they can do is they can come up with a design system. Let them do the case studies together and came up with the solution together.

A design system, in essence:

- is a common language they can communicate with.

- is their consensus that they could agree upon.

- if they do the case study right, it will be a set of sane designs that works great on the target platform (Web, mobile, etc.)
