This isn't different enough from the last Show HN:

Unrelated, but I'm pleased with how ec2instances stayed even after Vantage bought it. They don't shove the service down your throat.

Thanks for saying that. When we acquired the site over a year ago I publicly stated priority #1 was "not to screw it up" linked here: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=26080769

I feel super strongly about the community around this site and know how much its used. We're really sensitive to trying to be good stewards of it which is largely why we left it alone as much as we did for so long.

Sorry for being harsh, but it is really screwed up for Firefox users. For me it's completely unusable, because when trying to filter it freezes for more than 20 seconds before displaying the filtered values. And that's on a rather recent desktop PC.

There is an open bug report regarding that, however nothing has happened in the past year to fix it: https://github.com/vantage-sh/ec2instances.info/issues/586

This is one of the few things on the internet that I truly feel makes my job so much easier. It solves a complex problem so well, without over-simplifying. I've been using it for years, and still love it.
