Arizona ranked worst state to live in

From the CNBC Article [1] they reference:

> “It’s a dry heat,” The Grand Canyon State saying goes. But it leads to some of the worst air quality in the nation, according to the American Lung Association. Maricopa County, home to Phoenix, endures 39 high ozone days per year. That puts more stress on an already poor health care system, short on hospital beds and staff. The state spends just $79 per person on public health, among the country’s lowest. Arizona offers stunning natural beauty and top-notch cultural and recreational attractions. But that comes at a stiff price in America’s worst state to live in.

I don't live in Arizona but IMO calling a state the "worst place to live" with your only metric being air quality and how much the state spends on healthcare doesn't hold much water. And regarding the weather that is completely subjective, some people will love the dry arid weather, some people wont, but making that an objective reason why a place is worse off is very dishonest IMO.

This looks like a cherry-picked set of political issues the magazine wants to promote by highlighting the states that least adhere to them: state spending on public health, access to licensed childcare facilities, LGBTQ legislation, and air quality.

Quality of life is impacted by many more factors than that oddly limited set.

Arizona is ranked #34 overall in CNBC’s list. North Carolina is #1.

Everyone deals with the heat differently. I personally wouldn’t wish living in Phoenix upon my worst enemy.
