I am a high performer, and working from home has had no impact on my commitment; some days start at 6am and end at 10pm.
It completely depends on the individual.
The way I interpreted the comment was that getting WFH days is a slippery slope.

I also manage a team of full of remote individuals, 20+. I cannot say that this team performs better or worse than the team I used to manage at an office before the pandemic.
They're not going to win this one. Not enough people want to be in the office to justify having them, and the data for productivity disparity in favor of office work is just not there. Work from home (or wherever) is the future of information work, that's just how it is now.
