SF Airbnb rival WanderJaunt abruptly shuts down, vanishes with barely a trace

If I’m reading this correctly they weren’t an “Airbnb” rival - they were instead just a mega host buying and furnishing properties and then listing them on multiple short term rental venues ?

If you’re listing your property on Airbnb … and your model is buying and renting properties not connecting owners with renters… I’m not sure you’re a rival of Airbnb and instead not just a large customer ?
