The “Tire Extinguishers” Arrived in the U.S., They're After Gas Guzzler SUVs

This is really setting the stage for an interesting legal case in which a person with a knife harms another person’s vehicle and gets shot or assaulted.
I'll make it really simple for you understand.
Tires cost money. Money costs time. Time is life.
Therefore, when you do this, you're robbing people of their life. Don't be surprised when they shoot you dead for stealing their life.
A bike foot pump is also extremely portable and can fit in the back of a sedan.
I use this for a quick pump for boat trailer tires (a few more than 10 pumps to get to the higher 65 psi), family SUVs, and my sports car (at scca race events)
Myths like this get blown way out of proportion because of reddit type hand wringing and feigning of concern for virtue points and similiar behaviors that are common online.
If a tire sits deflated and not driven on for a couple of days and then gets aired back up it's almost certainly going to be fine. Sure, it could be damaged but the incidences of this are so rare that at the individual level it is not really worth worrying about.
>And a bike pump? I'm not so sure.
Yeah. That would not be a fun time.
Spend an hour at Walmart parking lot, this is such nonsense argument.
It also assumes someone doing this in the middle of the night won't get shot.... again not true in all cases.
If they actually slash tires, then more tires have to be created and disposed of which also does more harm to the environment.
Letting air out of the tires harms the environment (How does air get back into the tires? By making people polute by going out of their way to fix the situation.)
SUVs take up space, killing government's return on asset when building transportation infrastructure.
Energy still has to be produced to physically move 3t+ of mass around. And typically, SUVs only carry 1 person in traffic. So, that is 3t per person versus a bicycle, which is 0.020t per person.
