If a nuclear device goes off in the Ukraine, it will be a false flag attack trying to incriminate Russia. With prevailing winds, any nuclear fallout from Ukraine will be spread right across Russia. Not the sort of thing any sane Russian would do.
Russia may suffer some fallout, maybe enough to slightly increase cancer rates in some areas, but I guess that after using nuclear weapons, Russia will have more pressing problems than a couple of people getting sick.
