From the article:
> Since Roe was overturned on Friday, many people who can get pregnant have expressed their interest in stockpiling the pill. Sarah McKenna, a 21-year-old spiritual adviser and tarot card reader in Saylorsburg, Pa., told The New York Times this week that she went on Amazon to buy pills “not only for myself but for those who need it, because people are going to buy them and resell them for a crazy price.”

An aside, how does that happen? Does a NYT reporter think "we need to get a spiritual advisor's take on this"? Or is she on a list at the office of 'people who generate interesting quotes?'
Also, I just realized that they did this:
>many people who can get pregnant
instead of
>many women
I wonder if that was deliberate?
>instead of
>>many women
>I wonder if that was deliberate
I grew up around gender queer and androgynous people and thus I am used to using they/them and people instead of classifying a group of people by their gender. So I naturally speak/write in a less gender classified way without deliberate intent and I see this writing as just that. (Though obviously that is my bias.)
- not all women can get pregnant
- not all people who can get pregnant are women
Literally no one ever is going to be mad if you say women instead of people who can be pregnant but for those who are the exceptions to the rule it’s sometimes nice to acknowledge they exist.
As soon as Barrett was confirmed replacing Ginsberg, Roe’s days were numbered. Add to that the Supreme Court agreeing to hear Dobbs. Then you actually have the unprecedented leaked opinion with 5 justices concurring.
This was one of the most predictable Supreme Court decisions.
Yet people were still caught flat footed.
This does not give me much hope for climate change.
in other words, stop it.
Mayo clinic on the subject:
> Plan B One-Step is a type of morning-after pill that can be used after unprotected sex to prevent pregnancy. Plan B One-Step contains the hormone levonorgestrel — a progestin — which can prevent ovulation, block fertilization or keep a fertilized egg from implanting in the uterus.
