We need to design and manufacture thousands of small, intrinsically safe nuclear reactors of a mass producible standardised design that can power small cities - ideally using our abundant thorium reserves.
Work is being done to optimise small thorium reactors, but the Uranium based ones were developed first for nuclear weapons and Thorium languished all these years.
