Show HN: Brave Goggle that upranks news sources that are politically centrist

Thank you very much for the heads-up. I updated the Goggle to remove those 4 sites from the boost list. Thank you so much for the feedback, very very much appreciated.

Admittedly snarky: You sound like you believe in the Trump-Russia conspiracy theory!

More reasonable: I recognized consortiumnews.com because that's where famous NSA code breaker and whistleblower Bill Binney published his debunk of the of the "Russia hacked the DNC" hoax: https://consortiumnews.com/2017/07/24/intel-vets-challenge-r...

So personally I think they picked at least one excellent source. I can't speak to the others.

>UPD globalresearch.ca was even included in "Pillars of Russia's Disinformation and Propaganda Ecosystem" report:

Ahh yes, because the US government would never lie, 7 years after it became legal to do so: https://www.mintpressnews.com/planting-stories-in-the-press-...

Russian media influence on the US doesn't hold a candle to domestic media that is frequently found to be heavily biased to be pro establishment, to outright wrong. Russia is a red herring.

Also, you can add a Goggle-enabled Brave as a search engine in Chrome by using the following url:

    https://search.brave.com/goggles?q=%s+&source=web&goggles_id=https%253A%252F%252Fraw.githubusercontent.com%252Fpreambleai%252Fbrave-goggles%252Fmain%252Fcentrist-news&nav=site

(The %s stands in for the search, and the goggles_id specifies the link above.)

I understand; the hope is to achieve a pool of sources that have minimal bias individually AND whose overall biases cancel each other out. I.E. ideally we can find 50% of sources that are slightly right of center and 50% that are slightly left of center so they balance out. Does this seem more tractible?

I've found Google News reliable at promoting AMP sites and little else.
