This is good. Things like nonsystemd beyond the now age-old anti-systemd sentiment reduces the amount of "barely held together by ductape" mess . Modularity is a joke when you depend on specific third party modules instead of standardized interfaces and protocols. Unfortunately corporate developers focus on specific products and goals are not incentivized to do this in my opinion.
