When I'm giving you information — especially when it's other people's information — I want your privacy policy to consist of more than "Use this page to detail your site's privacy policy."

"Useful Links" - not useful if they don't exist, and I'd definitely want to see at least what they do with my data before I signed up...

I recently created something similar, but for sports teams and other recurring group activities. I opted to make it as a Google Calendar add-on:

https://itextyou.com

It's a fairly simple side project created for my own needs (so I haven't given it a lot of attention), but I'm definitely open to constructive feedback.

How do you handle opt-ins?

Also, related, I couldn't get the "terms" page to load on Mac.

This is a simple volunteer management system that does one thing really well: send automated text/email reminders to volunteers when they are scheduled to work. We stripped away the features that create friction and kept only the essentials in order to make the software as intuitive as possible.

Why focus on volunteers instead of a broader group?

A critical part of product development (making a thing) and marketing (sharing a thing) is understanding your audience/market, both so that (1) you have a target for what to build and so (2) you can reach them/they can find you. This is why "personas" exist, which are reasonable guesses at first but are refined as you find product/market fit. Things made for "everybody" almost always turn out to be not interesting enough for anybody.

I think this is a great place to start. I've been working at a volunteer based nonprofit for 4 years and there aren't a lot of great free/cheap options for volunteer management, so it would be great if this could be expanded to something that not only takes care of reminders but large scale volunteer management in general.

There are also a lot of awesome suggestions for improvements in the comments here. Looking forward to seeing how you grow.

Your "About Us" page is 404ing.

Your feedback button conflicts with your top button. I'm confused about why there's a top button (much like cookie banners, this feels like something to be implemented by the browser, not the page), so removing that might be the fix.

Vertical spacing is fairly messed up on mobile.

I highly recommend running a broken link checker and the "Unicorn" validator.

You may also want to do an accessibility audit.

I'm also not seeing any Opt out page? You may need to surface that for volunteers.

The words "simple" and "friendly" do not correlate with a website that needs to show me a loading indicator before accessing seemingly static content...

Also, what's with all of the different colours? Put bluntly, it's meant to be a website, not a rainbow.
