CONELRAD (or: What are the civil defense marks on 1953-1965 car radio dials?)

1) The law was actually for all radios.

2) While radios were no longer required to include the marks after 1963, most 64 & 65 cars still had them. I've seen them on cars as late as 1967 (model year).
