Hi HN! After recently being laid off from my job, I needed something to work on in my spare time and put together StatusVista. It crawls status pages of various services and lists the results on a single page for easy visibility. There are similar solutions out there but they are somewhat limited in the number of allowed services to track (i.e. StatusGator). It's in early stage and the available services are fairly limited but I wanted to get it released in case it's helpful to anyone. I'll be adding new services over the coming days so stay tuned. There's a demo and I'm taking requests via GitHub issues. Cheers!

The tech stack: Terraform, Serverless Framework, DynamoDB, AWS Cognito, React, MaterialUI, Gatsby

Nice job! Wish I had thought of it. Site looks credible and works smoothly. A few suggestions, enjoy with a grain of salt:

   - Need AWS - big one! :) Break out each service please
   - Need Mailgun
   - Need Elastic.co
   - Need Imgix

Thanks, cuz I actually need this. :)

Thanks for the feedback! I've added Mailgun, Elastic and Imgix, they should now be available to you. I was thinking about how to add AWS and the various services but not sure yet how to make it simple to search. I'll keep thinking, open to ideas too :)

Search is an insanely complex subject as you probably know. If I were you, I'd give each service a name (as you do now), a cloud name (i.e., AWS) for grouping, plus number of synonyms, and do levenshtein ranked search against those synonyms. So "PG" would match all the different Postgres providers (Aurora, RDS, Datastax..) for instance.

Oh, and one more suggestion: make above the fold on the homepage a list of all the services system wide that are down. :)

FYI AWS does have a health API as well https://docs.aws.amazon.com/health/latest/APIReference/Welco...

This is really cool and something I've wanted at work before. I agree with @vikstrouss's comment - if you keep adding to this I think you'd have paying customers.

If on the other hand, in case you're interested in monetizing it in other ways I'd be interested in chatting with you as well.

I noticed you said you were recently laid off, if you're looking feel free to ping me, this kind of initiative is a very good sign that you're going to be just fine.

Congrats on shipping!

Very cool.. signed up. I'll post my needs/wants list in a new issue on Github.

This is a cool idea. If you add the ability to be notified for a breach of SLAs, you might be able to turn this into something people would pay money for.
