How to set up an AWS Route 53 custom domain for your Heroku app

Setting up Route 53 domains with Heroku apps had confused me in the past and caused unnecessary time consumption. So I made a set of instructions that shouldn't take more than 30 minutes to complete. Hope it saves you some time as well.
