I don't understand your point. The USA was just meant to be a couple of colonies, then an association boycotting British imports but look at us now. It's scandalous!

I may be biased as personally I would love to see the United States of Europe in my lifetime.. probably the only way for Europe to maintain some sort of geopolitical power in the future.
