I think more importantly - other than the whole "police who receive expensive gear and training stand around for an hour letting someone run around killing children" of course - is that the police have now explicitly threatened this woman with criminal charges if she keeps talking about how they stopped her going in after her children - again, while they stood around letting them get murdered.

Luckily as the police chief said, none of the officers were injured, and they can investigate their actions once the parents "get over it".
