Theoretically with all the tire wear, shouldn’t the road elevations eventually be much higher?
Only a small percentage of the rubber stays on the road, and it's visible where you can see the black lines on the asphalt. The vast majority is carried away by the wind and ends up in the soil, in rivers and the sea, or even in plants. In some cases it ends up inside us when we breathe.
Makes sense. The only parts of your car eroding so quickly that it needs to be replaced ~10 times over it’s lifetime are the tires
