Every bill in America is becoming scammy. I am half thinking I should scam the scammy businesses by not making the payment at all. Alternatively, just paying the menu/advertised amount by cash.

Seems the reason to not just increase the food fee, aka menu price, is the hope that some of these prices will come back down.
