I thought #MeToo was against domestic violence and sexual abuse, not against men in general. And Depp is alleging domestic violence. Wouldn't that make this a continuation of #MeToo, and a recognition that men can also be victims? Not even the first such recognition, as it is preceded by Kevin Spacey.
> On Wednesday, the case’s verdict came in, finding that Heard defamed Depp, acting with “malice,” when she described herself as a victim of domestic abuse. [..] [The British judge in a different trial] found that Depp physically abused Heard on at least 12 occasions.
Court A gave a result that conflicted with court B. This is proof that court B is wrong. It's also strange that in the 13 paragraphs of text, the author couldn't fit a single word about the abuse Depp allegedly suffered.
