java.com
java.com
After the page is loaded some JavaScript loads the actual page content via a REST API. While this takes place you are looking at a white screen.
Microsoft's .NET site is far more appealing - https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/
Rust or Go sites are more appealing. https://www.rust-lang.org/ https://go.dev/
Python one seems more dated. https://www.python.org/
The java website to me is more boring in the sense of soulless and corporate.
I think part of the problem is that they haven't given up on Java.com being a consumer website. From https://www.java.com/en/download/help/whatis_java.html
> Java.com, this website, is intended for consumers who may still require Java for their desktop applications
This site https://www.java.com/en/ is experiencing technical difficulty. We are aware of the issue and are working as quick as possible to correct the issue.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Maven/Gradle are also very polished compared to whats available in other language ecosystems (To this day, no analog exists for C/C++).
I very much enjoy using the language and ecosystem.
Because it uses 3rd party JS from orecdn.oraclecloud.com.
Loving how Uninstallation is a top level user flow Oracle advertises. Lowered expectation . I suppose that's what casual users need most often?
Yep perfect landing page and ad
