My wife used to work in the Emergency Room... any time the EPIC system went down, they switched back to paper forms for recording information, and things got
radically faster, then the waiting rooms would be emptied in short order as they were able to breeze through triage and treatment.
It's my opinion that millions of hours of human suffering happen each year because of EPIC.
